In order to cater the rising passenger traffic and the demand for better services, AAI`s Tuticorin Airport is undergoing major up-
gradation in phases with cost of Rs 381 crores. The master project includes widening extension and strengthening work of existing Runway and associated.infrastructure. In order to cater to the rising passenger traffic, construction of the new Domestic Terminal Building is also planned, spreading over an area of 13530 sqm. The new Terminal Building will be able to handle 600 passengers during peak hours. The Terminal Building will be equipped with all the modern facilities and passenger amenities with provision of two aero bridges and 500 car parking facilities along with 100 taxi parking and 5 Bus / Coach parking. The Building will be designed
aesthetically appealing with soothing interiors matching the modern elements of architectures.
