NLC India Limited Receives Prestigious "Nishta ki Pratishta" Award from Hon’ble Minister of Coal & Mines

NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Coal, has been honoured with the Award "Nishta ki Pratishta" for its outstanding commitment towards implementation of the Official Language from Ministry of Coal.

The award was presented during the Hindi Advisory Committee Meeting of the Ministry of Coal held today at Hotel Ashok, New Delhi in the august presence of senior Ministry officials, Hindi officers, and representatives from coal companies.

The Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NLC India Limited Shri. Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, received the award from Shri. G. Kishan Reddy, Hon’ble Minister of Coal and Mines, Government of India. Shri Sumesh Kumar, Regional Manager (New Delhi) and Smt. Rajani Lankapalli, Hindi Officer, were recognised for their dedicated contribution to promoting the Official Language.

The meeting featured a series of presentations by coal PSUs on their Hindi implementation initiatives, followed by discussions on strategies for strengthening the use of Hindi in official communication across the sector.

NLCIL has consistently demonstrated its commitment to promoting the Official Language through systematic training programmes, quarterly Hindi competitions, and incentive schemes for employees successfully completing Prabodh, Praveen, and Pragya courses. The company regularly organizes conversational Hindi classes at all its Units, Projects, and Offices to enhance practical language use. It also takes active measures to increase public engagement by sharing official activities, achievements, and event details in Hindi through various social media platforms.

This award is a reflection of NLCIL’s unwavering commitment to the effective implementation of the Official Language Policy in all spheres of its functioning. NLCIL has integrated Hindi language usage into its day-to-day official communication, training, and documentation practices, ensuring compliance with all directives of the Department of Official Language.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD, NLC India Limited, expressed deep appreciation for the collective efforts of all NLCIL employees and the support of the Ministry of Coal.

This recognition underscores NLCIL’s steadfast adherence to the Government’s language policy and its proactive approach in nurturing a culture of linguistic inclusivity and administrative excellence.
