Sudhakar Rao Papa, BSNL Director (Enterprises), Gets Additional Charge of Director (CFA) Till December

Sudhakar Rao Papa, Director (Enterprises) at Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), has been entrusted with the additional charge of Director (CFA) at the company. The arrangement is valid till December this year.

BSNL is the state-owned telecom operator under the Department of Telecommunications. Its board carries functional directors for individual business verticals. CFA refers to the consumer fixed access business, which covers landline and broadband services for retail users.

Papa already heads the enterprise business, which deals with corporate and government customers. With the additional charge he will oversee two of the company's customer-facing verticals. The brief does not mention his earlier postings.

The order suggests the CFA directorship has no regular incumbent at present. Additional charge is the standard stopgap in PSUs until a regular director is selected through the Public Enterprises Selection Board.

The order runs till December this year.
