PESB Recommends Ravindra Ghattuwar as Director (Production & Planning), MOIL
PESB recommends Ravindra Ghattuwar, GM (Mining) at Hindustan Copper Limited, as Director (Production & Planning) at MOIL.
The Public Enterprises Selection Board has recommended Ravindra Ghattuwar, General Manager (Mining) at Hindustan Copper Limited, for the post of Director (Production & Planning) at Manganese Ore (India) Limited.
MOIL, a Miniratna-I public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Steel, is India's largest producer of manganese ore, a key raw material for steel and ferro-alloy production. The Director (Production & Planning) sits on MOIL's functional board, overseeing mine output planning and production strategy across its operations in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Ghattuwar's selection draws on his mining operations background at Hindustan Copper Limited, another public sector mining company, where his General Manager (Mining) role would have involved similar production planning and mine-operations responsibilities relevant to MOIL's manganese mining business.
The PESB's recommendation now moves to the government's Appointments Committee of the Cabinet for final clearance, the standard process for board-level appointments at central public sector undertakings.
If cleared, Ghattuwar would join MOIL's board at a time when the company continues to expand mechanised mining operations to boost manganese ore output amid steady domestic demand from the steel sector.
