MHA Abolishes 34 CISF Posts at Patanjali Food & Herbal Park After Security Withdrawal
MHA has abolished 34 sanctioned CISF posts at Patanjali Food and Herbal Park, Haridwar, after CISF security cover was withdrawn from the unit on 4 May 2026.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has ordered the abolition of 34 sanctioned posts of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Patanjali Food and Herbal Park, Haridwar. The order follows the withdrawal of CISF security from the establishment on 4 May 2026.
The abolished posts are one Assistant Commandant, four Sub-Inspectors, two Assistant Sub-Inspectors, 11 Head Constables and 16 Constables. They made up the sanctioned strength of the CISF unit at the park.
The CISF protects industrial units, airports and other installations. Units are deployed at private establishments on a cost-recovery basis when the government approves a security cover, and the sanctioned posts are created for that deployment.
Once the deployment ends, the sanctioned posts are abolished and the strength returns to the force. The brief does not state where the personnel were reassigned.
The brief does not give the reason for the withdrawal of cover.
