IRS Officer Vivek Gupta Appointed Private Secretary to MoS S P Singh Baghel
Vivek Gupta, a 2008-batch IRS (C&CE) officer, is Private Secretary to MoS Prof. S P Singh Baghel; his Department of Financial Services tenure is curtailed.
Vivek Gupta, a 2008-batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service (C&CE), has been appointed Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying and Panchayati Raj, Prof. S P Singh Baghel.
Gupta will serve in the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying. A Private Secretary runs the minister's office, handling files, appointments and the flow of papers between the minister and the department.
He was until now Director in the Department of Financial Services under the Central Staffing Scheme, the arrangement by which officers are empanelled and posted at the Centre for fixed terms. His tenure in that post has been curtailed, which means it ends before its scheduled term.
The new posting moves him from the Finance Ministry's department that oversees banking, insurance and pensions to the personal staff of a Minister of State.
