Madhya Pradesh Carries Out Major IAS Reshuffle, Postings For 17 Officers
Madhya Pradesh has reshuffled 17 IAS officers, with new charges at warehousing, revenue, tribal welfare and civil supplies corporations across Bhopal and divisional postings.
The Madhya Pradesh government has issued new postings for 17 IAS officers in one of its broadest administrative reshuffles this year, touching revenue divisions, welfare corporations and district development bodies.
The reshuffle reaches across the state's corporation and commissionerate structure, the layer of government that administers welfare corporations, land records and divisional revenue functions below the secretariat. Several of the postings combine a substantive charge with one or more additional responsibilities, a pattern that reflects Madhya Pradesh's practice of stretching mid-seniority officers across multiple corporations rather than filling each post separately.
Anil Suchari, a 2006-batch officer, has been appointed Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Warehousing Corporation in Bhopal, a body responsible for grain storage infrastructure central to the state's procurement operations. Dilip Kumar, 2008 batch, moves to Commissioner, Sagar Division, overseeing revenue and law-and-order coordination for the division's constituent districts. Anubha Srivastava, 2009 batch, has been appointed Secretary of the Revenue Department, a posting that puts her at the centre of the state's land-record digitisation and dispute-resolution push.
Satendra Singh, also 2009 batch, leaves his previous charge to take over as Secretary of the Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department along with the SC Welfare Department, additionally holding charge of the SC Development Commissioner and Managing Director posts at the MP SC Finance and Development Corporation.
The reshuffle reflects the state government's periodic realignment of its welfare-corporation architecture, under which Madhya Pradesh runs separate finance and development corporations for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other backward classes, each requiring board-level officers to keep loan disbursal and scholarship schemes moving. Neha Marvya Singh, 2011 batch, has been appointed Managing Director of the MP Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation, while Sandeep G.R., 2013 batch, takes charge of Women and Child Development along with the state's child health and nutrition mission.
The officers now placed in these corporations inherit oversight of some of the state's largest welfare disbursal channels at a time when the government has pushed to speed up scheme delivery ahead of the next budget cycle. Nidhi Nivedita, 2012 batch, becomes Divisional Commissioner-cum-Principal Revenue Commissioner in Bhopal with additional charge of Gwalior's Land Records and Settlement Commissioner post, combining two of the state's more demanding revenue-administration roles.
The government has also given five other IAS officers additional responsibilities without moving them from their primary postings, including Raghuraj M.R., who takes on the Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment Secretary's charge, and Anisha Srivastava, a 2021-batch officer who becomes CEO of the Gwalior Development Authority.
