Kiren Rijiju administered Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge

On the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel 150^th birth anniversary i.e. 31^st October also celebrated as National Unity Day, Union Minister of Minority Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs Shri Kiren Rijiju administered Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge to the officials and staff of Ministry of Minority Affairs.

Kiren Rijiju said that the contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was iconic and unforgettable. He said that Iron Man, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was epitome of national unity. Shri Rijiju said that with his indomitable spirit and relentless efforts, Sardar Patel integrated hundreds of remarkably diverse states to form the modern nation-state of India.

Shri Rijiju also mentioned the national importance of Statue of Unity at Kevadia, Gujarat which stands as an ode to the most venerated leader i.e. Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Shri Rijiju said that people of India need to understand the contribution and feel pride of the struggles that our freedom fighters have gone through.

Union Minister Shri Kiren Rijiju also discussed about the initiatives being taken by the Ministry like Swachhata Abhiyaan Special Campaign 5.0 ,Chintan Shivir etc. Through this pledge, the Ministry reaffirms its commitment to integrating the ideals of unity and integrity into its everyday functioning.

Joint Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs Shri Shersha C Shaik Mohiddin welcomed Union Minister Shri Kiren Rijiju and told about the importance of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge. DDG Media and Research, Ministry of Minority Affairs Shri Alok Verma thanked the Union Minister.The event was also attended by the senior government officials of the Ministry.
